A standard cleaning and inspection is $246.80 This includes cleaning of the firebox, smoke chamber, flue, smoke shelf and inspection of the immediately accessible areas of the chimney. If you’re interested in a complete level 2 inspection it is $400 for that service. There is a lot to this inspection and it’s more than just a few pictures of your liner. It’s every aspect in construction and clearances and can be used to change or install a new appliance to the chimney. (price is for a single woodburning flue, and one gas appliance flue, each additional appliance is $200)
Spark arrestor’s are $225/screen installed. I prefer open box screens to allow the smoke (the combustible byproduct of burning) to vent with minimal turbulence which greatly decreases creosote accumulation.
To seal the hole in your floor it is $75. With basements being finished and heating appliances being moved across the house, old clean out doors can be located in unsafe areas of the home. Sealing the floor allows for the coals and everything that needs to be exhausted to be confined in the firebox.
To add an external air intake to your fireplace it is $500. Fireplaces require a large amount of air to burn cleanly and with minimal smoking issues. Adding an air source in your firebox also helps to offset the amount of room heated air being drawn into the fireplace.
I’m not a fan of doors because they encourage improper use but as far as energy efficiency when your fireplace isn't being used or if you want a nice custom screen this is the best made out there. Prices range from $600-$2,000.
If you email us a picture of the damaged area we can give you an estimate. While we’re out servicing your chimney we will leave you an exact bid on costs and what we propose to do. All work comes with a warranty and prices range from a $200 service call with minor patching all the way up to custom additions and new construction. We offer something for everyones budget!
Dryer vent cleaning is an extra $75 with a chimney cleaning. There are fire codes/standards for venting dryers so having it cleaned yearly is a good idea to prevent fires.
